Who we are:
Down to Earth Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit organization registered under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)3, founded on September 18, 2002, by Larry and Ashley Lee.

What we do:
Down to Earth Ministries, Inc. exists to equip Christians to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in an effective, biblical manner and to defend the Christian faith in a manner that is gracious and humble, yet direct and winsome.

How we do what we do:
Down to Earth Ministries, Inc. provides training in various environments - churches, small groups, Sunday Schools, fellowship groups, schools (both public and private) and even on the Internet. We train Christians both "in the classroom" and "on the streets," teaching principles of evangelism and apologetics in the classroom, and modeling such principles on the streets. Often, we will take Christians to large gatherings, such as festivals, concerts, ball games or other public venues to let them observe as we share the Gospel with people and answer questions that arise as we are doing so. Our primary goal is to help Christians fulfill the Great Commission (see Matthew 28:18-20).

What we have done so far:
Down to Earth Ministries, Inc., since its inception in 2002, has provided training for thousands of people in evangelism and Christian apologetics. We have shared the Gospel on both local and national radio programs, as well as on a number of local and national television programs. Understanding that all of this would be impossible without God's involvement, we have distributed hundreds of thousands of Gospel tracts (at events such as music concerts, professional sporting events and large music and arts festivals), and provided Bibles to many thousands of non-Christians as well. The influence of the ministry has stretched overseas as well, as we have trained missionaries to Africa and Asia, and sent thousands of Gospel tracts to such places as Kenya, China, Thailand and Mexico. Ashley and Larry Lee have appeared on the award-winning television program entitled The Way of the Master, hosted by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort.

Who our founders are:
Larry and Ashley Lee are the founders of Down to Earth Ministries, Inc. Along with their four daughters, they reside near Charlotte, NC. Larry graduated from Furman University with a degee in Science (Political Science, that is) and Ashley graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Education. Both have studied the Bible extensively, and both have completed vigorous training in Christian apologetics and evangelism. Larry is currently pursuing a Masters Degree at Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, NC - his degree will be a Masters of Arts in Apologetics. Both Larry and Ashley share the Gospel daily, whether they are on a planned training outing or just "on the go" in their daily lives.

Why we do what we do:
Down to Earth Ministries, Inc. is operated in light of the following statistic - ten out of ten people die. All mankind will one day have to face God, whether they believe He exists or not. We operate this ministry with the understanding that all of us share a common problem - sin; and the consequence of sin is death. We also understand, however, that through the life, death and subsequent resurrection of Jesus Christ, death has been defeated, and forgiveness and eternal life have been made available to all who will simply repent of their sins and place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

What we believe:

· We believe the Bible, consisting of all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, authoritative and inerrant Word of God.

· We believe there is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

· We believe in the absolute deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His perfect atonement for sin through His death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into Heaven to be seated at the right hand of the Father, and His eventual return to earth in power and glory.

· We believe salvation results from "repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21). Repentance and faith are not two separate events, but rather two inseparable parts of one saving faith - when one turns and places faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, he must by definition be turning from one thing toward something else. He is turning from sin toward God, placing his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

- We believe that good works are the natural outworking of salvation, but not in any way a requirement for salvation. To put it simply, man is not saved by good works.

· We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and who indwells the born again believer, giving that believer the power to live a godly life in Christ Jesus.

· We believe that God desires all mankind to be saved; that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

· We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved unto the resurrection of life, and the unsaved unto the resurrection of eternal damnation in hell.

· We believe in the existence of Satan who is the great deceiver, the father of lies, and the true enemy of God. Satan masquerades as an angel of light bent on leading as many people as possible along the path to hell.

· We believe in a literal hell, a place of everlasting torment, anguish, loneliness, regret and punishment; a place that God created to punish Satan and his angels, but a place that will also be inhabited by people who reject God's offer of forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

· We believe that it is incumbent upon every born again believer to use whatever gifts, skills or abilities provided by God to glorify God and to further the Great Commission, going into all the world, including the United States of America, and making disciples.
